Job Overview

We are seeking a responsible and charismatic Sales Director for leading our sales team to consistently deliver revenue targets. The sales director will be accountable for delivering revenue targets within the given budget, instilling an effective sales culture and driving consistency and quality in operational excellence.

You will drive the company’s sales revenue and control cost by developing and leading effective sales strategies and plans. While working alongside marketing and brand teams, you will be responsible for sharing best practices and continual improvement to protect and grow company’s market position.

Job Responsibilities

As the sales director, you will be responsible for

  • Designing the business sales strategy along with the successful communication and delivery of the strategic plans.
  • Overseeing and managing a large team of sales managers and executives, typically spanning a wide geographical area.
  • Setting and maintain sales targets and KPIs for individuals across the sales cycle.
  • Seeking out major clients and identifying profitable emerging markets.
  • Producing future sales forecasts and developing innovative sales strategies and plans to adapt to constant shifts in the marketplace.
  • Generating sales revenue in line with agreed financial and event plans, within clear time scales and budget constraints.
  • Defining sales campaigns using CRM, Salesforce etc.
  • Delivering successful sales campaign execution using Salesforce.com tools, including targeting, pipeline management, deal closing and accurate reporting to the company leadership.
  • Building a strong sales capability within team of direct reports, ensuring Sales team skills are continuously assessed against business needs.
  • Focusing on continuous improvement to optimise the overall sales process.
  • Proactively driving the sales continuous improvement agenda within the team, identifying opportunities for sales process optimisation.
  • Serving as a business representative at major industry events, conferences, trade shows, and expositions.
  • Perform additional job responsibilities as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • A minimum of 15+ years of sales experience with at least 7 years in leading a sales team to deliver revenue targets.
  • Strong understanding of the strategic approach to long term objectives.
  • Ability to define a sales strategy and supporting campaigns to execute against a set of targets.
  • Results driven professional with a proven track record of delivering against targets.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and get the best out of a team, proven with experience.
  • Experience of building trusted stakeholder relationship.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • MBA degree preferred.
