Back-end Developer

Job Overview

We are seeking experienced Back-end developer to work collaboratively with our highly talented IT team to develop best-in-class web applications. The ideal candidate will have excellent skills in server-side programming languages and frameworks.

You will be responsible for server-side web application logic as well as the integration of frontend elements built by the frontend teams. As a Back-end developer, you must be highly skilled at developing Application Program Interface (APIs).

You should be able to optimise the application for maximum speed and scalability as well as to improve user experience. If you have an appreciation for core computer logic and an unwavering attention to detail, we would love to meet you!

Job Responsibilities

Be involved in the entire application lifecycle
Integrate user-facing elements with serve side logic
Writing new codes to develop functional web application
Conduct maintenance while testing and debugging systems
Maintain the central databases, ensure high performance, respond to requests from the front-end
Conduct UI tests to optimise performance
Build reusable codes and libraries for future use
Collaborate with the front-end developers, designers and system administrators to establish technical and design requirements to enhance the user experience

V Provide training and support to
Follow new and emerging technologies

Developing ideas for new programs, products or features by monitoring industry developments and trends

Job Requirements

X years of experience as a Back-end developer
Strong understanding of the web development cycle
Proficient in programming language like Ruby, PHP, Java and Python
Proven experience of using CMS framework
Deep understanding of frontend platforms and technologies, for example, HTML5, SASS, JavaScript, and CSS3
Ability to work independently or in a team
Excellent analytical and communication skills
Demonstrated problem solving attitude
Possess a bachelor’ degree in Computer Science or any other relevant field
