I commenced my career with Kmart where I progressed to hold store based management positions in a number of Victorian stores. I then joined Sanity Entertainment as an Area Manager (VIC, TAS and NSW). Keen to stay connected to the retail industry, but also wanting to try something new, I joined Bridge Consulting where I recruited managers for medium to large format department stores. I subsequently joined Lloyd Morgan where my recruitment activity focused more on mid to senior level retail operations roles. I decided to return to direct retail operations, holding BDM positions with Retravision Southern (VIC, NSW and TAS) and then One Zero Telecommunications (VIC, NSW, SA and WA). My key functions were to encourage and support store owners to drive sales and profitability, and to support the brand with the roll out of new store openings, changeovers, closures and refits. I never lost my passion for recruiting. In August 2009, Merryn Hailes and I launched RECRUIT2retail AUSTRALIA.
